Job Overview:
The consultant will play a crucial role in enhancing the organization's communication strategies by updating and expanding multimedia and visual communication materials. This position requires the consultant to develop digital content and publication designs in both Arabic and English, which will support ongoing awareness-raising campaigns and communication efforts. The consultant will also manage and create content for the IIMP website and its social media channels, ensuring that the messaging is consistent and impactful. Additionally, the consultant will provide technical support and guidance to the organization's team regarding the branding toolkit and templates that have been developed, ensuring that all materials align with the organization's mission and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Updating, refining, and expanding previously developed multimedia and visual communication materials to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Developing new digital content and publication designs in both Arabic and English to support the organization's awareness-raising campaigns and communication efforts.
  • Managing the content creation for the IIMP website and its social media channels, ensuring that all content is engaging and relevant to the target audience.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to the Independent Institution’s team on the branding toolkit and templates, helping them to effectively utilize these resources in their communication efforts.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including civil society organizations and international bodies, to coordinate outreach campaigns and ensure a unified approach to communication.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a first degree in journalism, international relations, social sciences, or a field related to human rights. Additionally, candidates must possess at least five years of professional experience in communication, outreach, and public information. This experience should include a strong background in digital communication, social media, and design-development" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">design development, particularly in humanitarian settings and/or human rights issues. Furthermore, candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience working on public information and outreach campaigns in the Arabic language, demonstrating the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple actors, including civil society organizations and international bodies. Substantive experience working on the situation in Syria is highly desirable, indicating a deep understanding of the regional context and challenges.

Educational Background:
Candidates must hold a first degree in journalism, international relations, social sciences, or a related field that pertains to human rights. This educational background is essential to ensure that the consultant has the necessary theoretical knowledge and understanding of the issues at hand, which will inform their work in communication and outreach.

Experience:
The position requires at least five years of professional experience in communication, outreach, and public information.
