Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Computing Technician include supervising and coordinating work requests related to structured cabling and telecom infrastructure in various CERN facilities. Experience: Candidates should have demonstrated experience in supervising telecom and network structured cabling installations, including routing, testing, and certification. Experience in coordinating contractors and performing on-site inspections is also necessary. Additional Notes: This position is a limited duration contract for 5 years, with the possibility of extension up to 8 years and eligibility for an indefinite contract. The role requires full-time commitment with 40 hours of work per week, and it is fully onsite. The position involves working in radiation areas and underground installations, necessitating a valid driving license. There may also be requirements for stand-by duty and work during nights, Sundays, and official holidays as needed by the organization.
