Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting food security analyses, preparing reports, and supporting the development of community-based programs that empower local populations and enhance their resilience against food insecurity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asistente de Programas will lead activities related to analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">food security analysis and vulnerability mapping, assisting in the preparation of timely reports on livelihood needs in accordance with WFP and government guidelines. The role includes supporting capacity-building processes for WFP staff, partner organizations, government entities, and community participants involved in early recovery initiatives. The individual will monitor the budget execution of assigned projects, ensuring the appropriate and timely use of resources while generating early alerts for potential delays. The Asistente de Programas will also oversee the management of information shared by partners regarding beneficiaries, resources transferred, and product indicators, ensuring data quality and traceability. Additionally, the role involves preparing technical and narrative reports required by WFP or donors, contributing to internal reports, lessons learned, and best practices. The Asistente de Programas will respond promptly to monitoring findings and feedback from communities, support affirmative actions in programs promoting equitable access for women and men, coordinate field visits and technical missions, and assist with other program-related tasks as needed to achieve WFP's strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications for the Asistente de Programas position include a completed secondary education cycle. A professional degree in agricultural sciences, forestry, aquaculture, environmental sciences, economics, or related fields is desirable. A postgraduate degree in areas related to rural development and/or food security and nutrition is highly valued. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to WFP's mission and values.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed their secondary education, with a preference for those holding a professional degree in relevant fields such as agricultural sciences, environmental studies, or economics. Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of professional experience in rural development or food security projects, including diversified production, self-sufficiency, and food marketing. At least two years of specific experience in strengthening agricultural livelihoods with small producers, indigenous communities, or vulnerable populations is essential. Experience working in humanitarian assistance programs or development projects is highly regarded, particularly in complex operational contexts involving migration and gender-based violence.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory for this position. Intermediate knowledge of English is desirable, as it may facilitate communication with international partners and stakeholders.
