Job Overview: In this full-time position (1.0 FTE) as a Senior Practitioner - Early Childhood Coordinator, you will be part of the Early Years Place team in Maryborough, with potential travel across the Fraser Coast. The role is designed to create lasting change for children and their families, focusing on program planning, implementation, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for coaching and developing team members, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing program logistics and compliance with child protection standards. The position is a maximum term role until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension based on funding. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Practitioner - Early Childhood Coordinator include:
Driving program planning and implementation to ensure effective delivery of services.
Coaching and developing team members to enhance their capabilities and maintain best practices.
Managing stakeholder relationships and strengthening community networks to support program success.
Overseeing the allocation of client work and program logistics, ensuring compliance with risk management and child protection standards.
Delivering direct support for families, including transition planning, family support, and referral pathways.
Continuously improving program effectiveness through feedback and evaluation.
Engaging with families and communities to understand their needs and tailor services accordingly.
Collaborating with other professionals and organizations to enhance service delivery.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or a relevant Human Service Qualification.
Significant experience managing a similar service or program.
Knowledge of best practices and professional standards in Child Safe Practices and Early Years Education.
A current valid driver’s license.
A demonstrated understanding of how cultural contexts influence practice approaches.
A genuine passion for supporting and managing a high-performing team to meet and exceed objectives.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a relevant Human Service Qualification.
