Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and implement humanitarian programs in the designated area, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.

  • Collaborate with local partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Monitor and evaluate program implementation, providing regular reports on progress and challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in capacity-building initiatives for local staff and partners to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Represent the organization in meetings and forums, advocating for the needs of the affected population.
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring that financial and material resources are used efficiently and transparently.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the local context, including cultural, political, and social dynamics, to inform program decisions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. They should demonstrate a commitment to humanitarian principles and a passion for helping vulnerable populations. Additionally, candidates should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure. Proficiency in project management and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Candidates should also be adaptable and flexible, willing to take on new challenges as they arise.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international relations, social sciences, or humanitarian studies is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in related areas will be considered an asset. Candidates should have a strong academic background that demonstrates their ability to engage with complex issues and develop effective solutions.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in humanitarian assistance or related fields. Experience working in challenging environments, particularly in conflict or post-conflict settings, is highly desirable. Familiarity with program management, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity-building initiatives will be beneficial. Previous experience with international organizations or NGOs is a plus, as is experience in cross-cultural settings.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those spoken in the region, is considered an asset and may enhance the candidate's effectiveness in the role.

This position is classified as an International Deployee role, which involves working in a non-family residential location.
