Job Overview:
The Team Assistant position at the World Bank Group is a vital role within the Caribbean Country Management Unit (CMU), which serves 30 client countries in the Latin America and Caribbean Region. The Team Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the CMU’s Administrative Client Support team, under the guidance of the Operations Manager. This role requires a proactive approach to managing office processes, monitoring schedules, and coordinating with various service units and team members, both locally and internationally. The Team Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office by handling logistical arrangements for meetings, conferences, and project negotiations, as well as drafting and formatting project-related correspondence. The position demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the team’s objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Team Assistant will carry out a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: maintaining an effective network of contacts with government officials, donors, civil society, and other stakeholders; providing logistical support for events such as meetings and workshops; drafting and formatting correspondence and reports; tracking project timelines and coordinating with relevant staff; maintaining up-to-date project files; solving non-routine problems; and serving as a backup for other team members. Additionally, the Team Assistant will be responsible for logistical support for visiting missions to Jamaica, including transportation and catering arrangements. The role requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma as a minimum requirement, while a University Degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar administrative role is essential, with preference given to those who have experience working with the World Bank Group. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge of office applications such as MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, WebEx, and MS Teams, and will have a strong understanding of institutional policies and procedures. Additionally, candidates should exhibit excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, a positive client service attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes at least a High School Diploma, with a University Degree being advantageous. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of the role and effectively managing the administrative tasks associated with the position.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an administrative support role. Candidates with prior experience in similar positions, particularly within the World Bank Group or other international organizations, will be given preference. This experience should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate with various stakeholders, and provide high-quality support in a fast-paced environment.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, although not explicitly required. Candidates should possess strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and contribute to the team's objectives.
