Job Overview:
The Partnership Specialist will support the Office of Innovation's partnership strategy and management. This role involves managing relationships with existing and prospective partners, as well as supporting internal management of the partnership strategy alongside the communication team. The specialist will work across various divisions within UNICEF, including private and public sectors and National Committees, to ensure effective partnership management. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and developing new partnerships while maintaining high-quality coordination and engagement with current partners. The specialist will also contribute to strategic planning, research, and event planning, ensuring that the partnership strategy aligns with UNICEF's overall mission and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for professional management of existing partnerships, prospecting and developing new partnerships, and implementing internal coordination and communications across the Office of Innovation and UNICEF teams. Key responsibilities include overseeing and ensuring quality control for internal partnership management systems and processes, contributing to strategic planning, conducting research, and planning and attending events. The role requires a strong focus on maintaining organized resources and conversations, as well as adapting to the dynamic needs of the partnerships.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in international relations, public or private sector partnerships, communications, social sciences, public relations, business administration, or management. A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in partnerships or project management is required. Experience in managing partnerships between technology, video games, or impact investing industries and development or non-profit organizations is highly beneficial. Strong planning, communication, and fundraising skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize and manage a diverse range of priorities and projects effectively.

Educational Background:
A university degree in relevant fields such as international relations, public and/or private sector partnerships, communications, social sciences, public relations, business administration, or management is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of partnership management and the dynamics of working within international organizations like UNICEF.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in partnerships or project management. Candidates with experience supporting partnership management specifically in the technology, video gaming, or impact investing sectors, particularly in relation to development or non-profit organizations, will be viewed favorably. This level of experience is crucial for effectively navigating the complexities of partnerships and ensuring successful outcomes for UNICEF's initiatives.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish, or a local language, is considered an asset. Proficiency in multiple languages enhances communication with diverse partners and stakeholders, which is vital for the role.

Additional Notes:
The consultant is expected to travel to Stockholm approximately once every quarter for a week. They will be responsible for arranging their own travel, including visa and travel insurance. Payment for professional fees will be based on the submission of agreed deliverables, and UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment if the deliverables do not meet the required standards or if there are delays.
