Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is situated within the logistics and information systems department, reporting directly to the Logistics and General Resources Manager. The intern will serve as the first point of contact for external visitors from diverse cultural backgrounds. The role requires a polished presentation, a strong sense of service, and organizational skills. The intern will assist the General Services in managing the daily operations of the site, both on-site and remotely, while ensuring the site's functionality and security. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in logistics management within a humanitarian context, allowing the intern to contribute to the organization's mission while developing professional skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include managing daily operations by responding to the needs of on-site personnel, ensuring the replenishment of consumables, participating in site security, and reporting any anomalies to the Logistics and General Resources Manager. The intern will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of meeting rooms, cafeterias, and communal areas. Additionally, the intern will manage the reception and welcome processes, including maintaining records of service providers and external visitors, providing information about SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, handling telephone inquiries, coordinating staff arrivals and departures, and managing access badges. The intern will assist in organizing internal and external events, managing meeting room reservations, and identifying equipment needs for events. Furthermore, the intern will oversee office supplies, participate in monthly inventory checks, and manage mail and parcel deliveries, ensuring proper archiving of delivery notes. This list is not exhaustive, and additional tasks may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a background in hospitality or executive secretarial studies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A proactive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as the intern will interact with various stakeholders within the organization and external visitors.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have completed or be in the process of completing a degree or diploma that aligns with the responsibilities of the internship.

Experience:
While prior experience in a similar role is not mandatory, any experience in logistics, administration, or customer service will be considered an asset. The internship is designed for individuals looking to gain practical experience in a humanitarian organization, and thus, a willingness to learn and adapt is crucial.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as the primary working language will be French. Proficiency in English is a plus and will be beneficial for communication with international teams and stakeholders.

  • Interns will receive a stipend of €5.60 per hour, calculated based on actual hours worked. Transportation costs will be covered at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and interns will receive meal vouchers worth €8.90 per day worked, with a 60% contribution from the organization.
