This reform aims to reposition the UN Development System to effectively deliver on the 2030 Agenda, which focuses on dignity, prosperity, and peace on a healthy planet. The UN Resident Coordinator Offices are being strengthened globally under the leadership of empowered UN Resident Coordinators, who serve as the highest-ranking representatives of the UN Development System at the country level. The organization operates in numerous countries worldwide, focusing on sustainable development and humanitarian efforts.
Job Overview: The position of Videographer and Digital Photographer is crucial for supporting the communications and advocacy work of the UN Country Team in Saudi Arabia. The incumbent will be responsible for producing high-quality visual assets that will be utilized for social media and the annual reports of the UN Resident Coordinator. This role requires creativity and technical skills in photography and videography, as the outputs will be used to enhance the visibility of UN initiatives and events. The selected candidate will work closely with the Head of the RC Office and the Communication and Digital MediaAdvisor to ensure that the visual content aligns with the UN's mission and messaging. The role is expected to last for a duration of three months, during which the incumbent will cover various significant events organized by the UN.
Duties and Responsibilities: The primary duties and responsibilities of the Videographer and Digital Photographer include:
Capturing high-quality photographs and videos during key UN events such as UN Day events, the UN Tourism Conference, the UNIDO General Conference, and high-level visits.
Delivering a minimum of 10 high-resolution photographs per event and 10 video clips per event, ensuring that all content meets the UN's standards for quality and relevance.
Collaborating with the Head of the RC Office and the Communication and Digital Media Advisor to plan and execute the visual documentation of events.
Providing visual assets for the Annual Country Results Report and other communication materials as needed.
Ensuring that all visual content is delivered in a timely manner to support ongoing communication efforts.
Maintaining equipment and ensuring that all technical aspects of photography and videography are handled professionally.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a High School diploma as a minimum educational requirement. Additionally, all applicants are required to submit a copy of their educational degree as part of the application process. Incomplete applications will not be considered. A minimum of three years of professional work experience in photography or videography is essential, demonstrating a strong portfolio of previous work that showcases the candidate's skills and creativity in visual storytelling.

Fluency in Arabic means that the candidate must be rated as 'fluent' in all four areas: speaking, reading, writing, and understanding. Knowledge of English should be rated as 'confident' in at least two of the four areas.
