Job Overview:
The Programme Support and Reporting Officer will play a crucial role within IOM’s Jordan Country Programme, specifically focusing on the Public Health portfolio. This position is integral to strengthening IOM’s programming for migrants, Jordanians, and Syrian and non-Syrian refugees in Jordan. The officer will support the cross-border medical response within Gaza, working closely with the Project Development Officer and the National Public Health Officer. The role involves assisting in the conceptualization, drafting, and editing of project proposals and concept notes, particularly those related to public health. The officer will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing donor reports and case studies, ensuring compliance with both donor and internal requirements. Additionally, the officer will conduct research on migration and public health dynamics in Jordan and support monitoring and evaluation efforts for ongoing projects. This position requires effective coordination with various stakeholders, including government entities, UN agencies, and civil society organizations, to ensure the successful implementation of health-related interventions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Support and Reporting Officer include: assisting with the conceptualization, drafting, and editing of concept notes and project proposals; supporting the drafting and review of donor reports and case studies; conducting research on migration and public health dynamics; supporting monitoring and evaluation efforts for ongoing projects; providing and coordinating inputs for information requests from various stakeholders; organizing and following up on multi-stakeholder events, workshops, and meetings; supporting liaison efforts with donors and partners; drafting donor profiles and guidance notes; and assisting in developing approaches to expand the IOM donor base. The officer is also expected to strengthen their understanding of volunteerism, participate in UNV activities, and contribute articles on field experiences for UNV publications.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a strong understanding of public health issues, particularly in the context of migration and refugee populations. Candidates should possess excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to draft reports and proposals effectively. Strong research skills are essential, as well as the ability to engage with various stakeholders, including government agencies and NGOs. The candidate should demonstrate adaptability and flexibility, with a commitment to ethical practices and respect for diversity. Proficiency in project management and coordination is also required, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a degree in public health, social sciences, international relations, or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. Additional training or certifications in project management or public health would be advantageous.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least two years of relevant professional experience in public health, project management, or a related field. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of migration and refugee assistance, is highly desirable. Familiarity with donor reporting and compliance requirements is also beneficial.

Languages:
The official language of Jordan is Arabic, and proficiency in English is mandatory, especially for communication with international partners. Knowledge of additional languages such as French, German, Italian, or Spanish is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with diverse stakeholders.
