Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a work plan and methodology for the formulation of the National Migration Policy.
Organize thematic workshops for the development of the migration policy.
Conduct a rapid assessment of the legal and institutional framework regarding migration in Comoros.
Update the mapping of stakeholders to ensure the inclusion of various parties (ministries, civil society, diaspora organizations, local authorities, customary representatives, etc.).
Organize technical consultations with the GTT to integrate contributions from all involved parties into the national migration policy project.
Draft the initial document of the national migration policy.
Facilitate the final review and validation process of the policy.
Undertake any other tasks related to the project concerning the development of the National Migration Policy.
Required Qualifications: A university degree in social sciences, law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, or a related field is required. The candidate must possess a minimum of four years of experience in migration-related fields such as border management, diaspora mobilization, human trafficking, migration and development, and international human rights law. Strong capacity to work collaboratively with national and regional stakeholders in Comoros is essential. Experience in drafting strategic documents is considered an asset.
Educational Background: Candidates must hold a university degree in social sciences, international law, or a similar discipline. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of migration policies and the legal frameworks that govern them.
