Job Overview:

The OYW plays a crucial role in ensuring that youth and women are represented and supported within FAO, both internally and externally. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for performing various tasks as outlined in the Terms of Reference (TOR) provided by the hiring office. This may include supporting policy dialogues, assisting in the organization of events, contributing to marketing and outreach efforts, and providing thematic and academic support to ongoing projects. The intern will also engage in research and analysis related to youth and women's issues in agrifood systems, and help in the development of communication materials to promote the initiatives of the OYW and the WFF. Additionally, the intern will collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of programs and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a recognized educational institution. FAO only considers qualifications from institutions accredited in the World Higher Education Database (WHED). Candidates should specialize in a field relevant to FAO's mission and work, demonstrating a strong understanding of the issues surrounding youth and women in agrifood systems. A working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish) is required, and knowledge of a second FAO language is considered an asset. Candidates must also be nationals of FAO member countries and should be aged between 21 and 30 years.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed a degree program at a recognized institution.
