The contractor will provide strategic and operational support to the GRF Progress Review Team Lead, focusing on high-level coordination and stakeholder engagement. This role involves serving as the primary liaison for external partners, including NGOs and Refugee-Led Organizations (RLOs), ensuring timely communication and relationship management aligned with the objectives of the Global Refugee Forum (GRF). The contractor will also assist in the coordination of side events, track deliverables, prepare briefing materials, and facilitate meetings, thereby playing a vital role in promoting RLO participation and visibility within the UNHCR framework.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position include:
Serving as the primary focal point for external partners, including NGOs and RLOs, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
Assisting in the coordination of side events related to localization, including identifying speakers, liaising with event organizers, and ensuring thematic coherence.
Supporting the Team Lead in tracking deliverables and preparing necessary briefing materials.
Facilitating internal and external coordination meetings, including the preparation of talking points.
Supporting advocacy efforts to promote RLO participation and visibility, coordinating with advocacy teams and communications units to enhance outreach and engagement.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, and a solid understanding of the humanitarian landscape, particularly regarding refugee issues. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in project management and coordination, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
