Job Overview: The Human Resources Officer will operate under the supervision of the HR and Admin Team Leader, taking charge of a wide range of Human Resource responsibilities. These responsibilities encompass recruitment, staff onboarding, payroll management, and health insurance administration. The HR Officer will also assist in the processes of contracting, extensions, and separations, ensuring that all staff files are meticulously updated with the required documentation as per the established checklist. This role is crucial in maintaining the operational efficiency of the HR department and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and local regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities: The HR Officer will be responsible for managing the national staff payroll, which includes collecting monthly timesheets, preparing payroll using payroll software, releasing monthly pay slips, and coordinating with the Finance department regarding payroll transfers. The officer will ensure accurate tax calculations in accordance with local tax laws and ensure that National Social Insurance and Zakat are deducted and transferred to the relevant authorities promptly. Additionally, the officer will assist in the recruitment and selection process by advertising vacancies, maintaining recruitment trackers, preparing job offers and contracts, and following up on contract extensions or terminations. The HR Officer will also coordinate with the insurance provider to manage staff insurance, ensuring that all employees receive their insurance cards upon enrollment and that claims are processed efficiently. Other responsibilities include maintaining updated staff information in the HR system, assisting with audits, and managing correspondence with government authorities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll management and recruitment. A strong understanding of income tax calculations as per local tax regulations is essential. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is required, along with excellent communication skills. Experience with payroll software is also necessary to effectively manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
