Job Overview: As an intern in the Human Resources department at GIZ International Services (InS), you will gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of recruiting and implementing development projects across various regions. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn about the intricacies of international project recruitment and human resources management. You will be part of a global HR/recruiting team, actively involved in the search for specialized experts for international project tenders. This role will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the recruitment process, from job postings to candidate selection, and will allow you to engage with diverse tasks within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include:
Posting job advertisements and actively searching for international experts.
Assessing expert profiles to ensure they meet project requirements.
Communicating directly with potential candidates to gauge their interest and qualifications.
Organizing and participating in interviews conducted in various languages.
Preparing documentation for project proposals.
Collaborating closely with project management teams in international recruitment efforts.
Assisting in the maintenance and development of the internal expert database to ensure it is up-to-date and comprehensive.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this internship, you must be currently enrolled in a degree program in social sciences, political science, economics, or other fields relevant to international cooperation. You should have a strong interest in development cooperation and human resources, along with some initial experience in these areas being advantageous. Additionally, you must possess fluent English skills and advanced knowledge of French and/or Spanish. Personal attributes such as reliability, motivation, engagement, and strong teamwork skills are essential. You should also be able to present yourself confidently in digital formats and communicate effectively.
Educational Background: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program or in a training course that requires the completion of an internship as an integral part of the curriculum. If you have recently graduated, your degree should not be more than six months old at the start of the internship.
Experience: While prior experience in development cooperation or human resources is not mandatory, it is highly desirable. Long-term stays abroad or initial work experiences in development-related fields or HR will be considered a plus, enhancing your application.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, with advanced proficiency in French and/or Spanish being highly desirable. This multilingual capability will be crucial for effective communication with international candidates and stakeholders.

The monthly stipend for interns is €2,205.04 (gross).
