Job Overview:
The Technical Student Programme at CERN offers students a unique opportunity to gain practical training in fields related to Information Technologies, Mathematics, or Robotics. Duties and Responsibilities:
As a participant in the Technical Student Programme, you will be expected to undertake various responsibilities that may include:

• Collaborating with CERN teams on specific projects related to Information Technologies, Mathematics, or Robotics.
• Developing and implementing software solutions or applications that meet project requirements.
• Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of existing systems and infrastructure.
• Conducting research and analysis to support project objectives.
• Participating in team meetings and contributing ideas and solutions to enhance project outcomes.
• Documenting your work and presenting findings to your team and supervisors.
• Engaging in training sessions and workshops to further develop your skills and knowledge in relevant areas.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the Technical Student Programme, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• Have completed at least 18 months or 3 semesters of undergraduate studies (Bachelor or Master’s) by the time of the next student selection round in February 202
• Remain registered as a full-time student during the internship period.
• Possess a good knowledge of English or French, as these are the primary languages of communication at CERN.

Educational Background:
Candidates should be pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Robotics, or a related discipline. It is essential that applicants have completed a minimum of 18 months of their undergraduate studies, ensuring they have a solid foundation in their chosen area of study before applying for the internship.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn. Any previous internships, projects, or coursework related to Information Technologies, Mathematics, or Robotics will be advantageous and should be highlighted in the application.

Languages:
A good command of English or French is mandatory for this position, as these languages are used for communication within CERN. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered beneficial but is not required.

Additional Notes:
The Technical Student Programme offers a contract of association lasting between 4 to 12 months, providing students with a monthly allowance of 3472 Swiss Francs (net of tax). Additionally, a travel allowance is provided, and supplementary allowances may be granted based on personal circumstances, such as marital status or having children. Participants will be covered by CERN’s comprehensive Health Insurance scheme, with contributions automatically deducted from their allowance. Students will also receive 2.5 days of paid leave per month.
