Job Overview:
The consultant will play a crucial role in enhancing the Trade Facilitation Section's capabilities in communication and e-learning. This position involves working on two significant projects aimed at improving trade facilitation processes in Egypt and other beneficiary countries. The consultant will assist in mapping and simplifying trade procedures, developing e-learning courses, and providing training to stakeholders. The role requires a blend of technical skills in e-learning platform management and a strong understanding of trade facilitation principles. The consultant will also be responsible for drafting communication strategies and plans, organizing webinars, and ensuring effective dissemination of information related to trade facilitation reforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's duties include: 1) Assisting Egypt in mapping and simplifying trade procedures by researching relevant laws and regulations, analyzing trade information, and programming an Arabic-language e-learning course. 2) Providing training to stakeholders in Egypt on mapping procedures. 3) Supporting National Trade Facilitation Committees in drafting communication strategies and plans. 4) Delivering e-learning courses on communication for NTFCs, including research on best practices and programming course content. 5) Managing customer relations for the UNCTAD Trade Facilitation E-learning platform, including enrolling participants and organizing logistics for webinars. 6) Writing reports summarizing inputs from assignments and gathering data for KPIs. 7) Creating promotional materials and liaising with the UNCTAD Communication team. 8) Organizing side events related to the Accelerate Trade Facilitation Programme during the Global Supply Chain Forum. 9) Programming content for the online course on blockchain in trade facilitation in Arabic and managing participant registrations and follow-ups.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's) in trade-related issues, design, communications, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in capacity building, communication, and organizing webinars or workshops is required. Experience with the Learnworlds learning management system is essential, along with knowledge of the trade facilitation field and proven experience using the Trade Information Portal system of UNCTAD.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (Master's) in a relevant field such as trade, communications, business administration, or design is required for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of trade facilitation and the development of effective communication strategies.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of relevant work experience. This experience should include capacity building, communication, and organizing webinars or similar events. Familiarity with the Learnworlds learning management system is also necessary, as is specific experience with the Trade Information Portal system of UNCTAD.

Languages:
Fluency in written and oral Arabic, French, and English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of Spanish is considered desirable, which would enhance communication capabilities with a broader audience.
