Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: supporting ongoing projects through implementation activities, reporting, and coordination with experts and departments; preparing work results, reports, and communication materials in PowerPoint presentations; assisting in the acquisition of new projects through research and identifying relevant experts; contributing to the development of project concepts and presenting them independently; participating in client meetings and preparing for them; researching current development and supply chain topics, such as Sustainable Development Goals and NGO campaigns; evaluating the significance of research findings for the private sector and identifying potential project approaches; and enhancing the team's knowledge management by researching available services and expertise within GIZ.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be enrolled in their studies from the sixth semester onwards, preferably in business administration, economics, political science, or social sciences. A demonstrated interest in the intersection of business and sustainability/international cooperation is essential, which can be evidenced through relevant study focuses or internships. Sensitivity to cooperation in diverse cultural contexts is important, as shown through prior internships, studies, or stays abroad. The ideal candidate should be reliable, pragmatic, creative, and capable of engaging with a wide range of topics. Strong organizational skills are necessary to prioritize and fulfill various tasks under tight deadlines. The ability to work well in a team while also being capable of independent work is crucial. Proficiency in common office applications, especially MS PowerPoint, is required.
Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to be currently enrolled in a university program, ideally in their sixth semester or higher, with a focus on business administration, economics, political science, or social sciences. Relevant coursework or practical experience in sustainability and international cooperation is highly desirable.
Experience:
Candidates should have some practical experience, ideally through internships or study-related projects, that demonstrates their interest and capability in working at the intersection of business and sustainability. Experience in diverse cultural settings is also beneficial.
Languages:
Fluent language skills in German and English are mandatory for this position. Knowledge of Spanish and/or French is considered a plus and would be advantageous for the role.

- The monthly stipend for interns is €2,205.04 (gross). It is important for applicants to be currently enrolled in a program that requires an internship or to have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.
