Job Overview:
The Tech Team Intern position is situated within the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) division of WFP, focusing on enhancing private sector fundraising, particularly through individual giving. This internship is designed for candidates eager to gain practical experience at the intersection of technology, fundraising operations, and data processes in an international context. The intern will provide operational and technical support to the IG Tech Team, engaging in various activities such as operational coordination, reporting, documentation, and platform support. The role involves working with multiple platforms including Salesforce, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Asana, and aims to contribute to the continuous improvement of fundraising technologies and processes. The intern will have the opportunity to develop a practical understanding of tech-enabled fundraising operations and support data integrity and reporting accuracy across recurring operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operational & Coordination Support: Assist in recurring operational processes across the Tech Team, including task tracking and follow-up activities. Coordinate activities across teams and platforms, ensuring alignment and timely execution. Prepare operational updates, summaries, and status tracking.
  • Systems & Platform Support: Provide support across key platforms such as Salesforce, SharePoint, Asana, and Microsoft 36
  • Assist with data validation, uploads, and basic system checks. Support ongoing platform-related activities linked to fundraising operations.
  • Testing & Process Validation: Participate in testing activities for platform updates, new features, and process improvements. Document bugs, inconsistencies, or issues identified during testing. Support validation of system outputs, reports, and data processes.
  • Data & Reporting Support: Maintain reporting trackers and validate recurring reports. Monitor data flows and flag inconsistencies, delays, or anomalies for follow-up. Prepare structured reporting outputs and operational summaries.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain and improve internal documentation, process guides, and operational materials. Organize SharePoint and documentation repositories. Contribute to onboarding and knowledge-sharing resources for the team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, task coordination, and system usage. Support implementation of improved practices in tracking, reporting, and operational processes.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Previous internship or working experience in operational, administrative, or technical support activities is advantageous. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint, is essential. A basic understanding of operational platforms and collaboration tools such as Salesforce and Asana is required. Candidates should demonstrate good organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail, the ability to follow recurring operational processes, and maintain accurate records and reporting trackers. A basic understanding of data handling, reporting activities, and operational follow-up processes is also necessary.

Educational Background:
A university degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Systems is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the technical and operational aspects of the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have previous internship or working experience in operational, administrative, or technical support activities. This experience will help them navigate the responsibilities of the internship effectively and contribute to the team's objectives. Familiarity with operational platforms and collaboration tools is also beneficial.

Languages:
An excellent command of spoken and written English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required.
