Job Overview:
The position of Responsable Analyse Humanitaire within the HAACT initiative is crucial for producing reliable humanitarian analyses in areas that are difficult to access. The role involves collecting and processing both secondary and primary information, conducting interviews, and managing multimedia Data Collection. The individual will be responsible for drafting reports based on established methodologies and will also represent HAACT externally, coordinating with partners to identify priority areas for Analysis. This position is part of a larger restructuring of the HAACT team, which aims to expand its geographical reach and enhance its analytical capabilities in response to humanitarian needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordination with humanitarian actors: Present the HAACT mechanism to humanitarian partners and coordinate with NGOs and clusters to identify priority analysis areas.
- Production of humanitarian analyses: Review and analyze secondary humanitarian data, identify and verify local sources, conduct interviews, and structure information according to HAACT methodologies.
- Reporting: Draft analytical reports following HAACT standards, with Technical Support from senior management.
- Follow-up and dissemination: Present findings to humanitarian clusters and NGOs, ensuring recommendations are followed up.
- Methodological development: Contribute to the formalization and continuous improvement of HAACT methodologies, identifying new areas of work as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess advanced writing skills, analytical and synthesis capabilities, and knowledge of Emergency aid sectors. Autonomy, initiative, and strong Interpersonal Communication skills are essential. Previous experience in humanitarian settings, particularly in Program Management or similar roles, is highly valued. Familiarity with the operational countries of HAACT is an advantage.
Educational Background:
A relevant educational background in humanitarian studies, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of humanitarian principles and practices.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, ideally in roles such as Program Manager, Grant Manager, or MEAL Manager. Experience in the specific countries where HAACT operates will be considered a significant asset.
Languages:
Fluency in French, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required, and knowledge of Arabic is considered a plus.
Additional Notes:
The position is a short-term contract with a salary range of €2100 to €4100 gross per month, depending on experience and seniority. Benefits include paid leave, medical coverage, and per diem allowances. The role involves travel within the West Africa/Sahel region, with a focus on collaboration with frontline NGOs.
