Job Overview:
The Camp Management Technical Assistant (Information Management) plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the program portfolio in Sittwe, Rakhine State. This position involves assisting with Data Management, ensuring the confidentiality and security of information, and supporting the Camp Management team in Data Collection and Analysis. The role requires collaboration with various teams, including the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team, to ensure accurate data reporting and documentation. The assistant will also be responsible for maintaining beneficiary databases and contributing to project documentation and lessons learned.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of the program portfolio according to the plan of action.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by project management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents and promote ideas for technical improvement.
  • Handle data and information safely and confidentially, adhering to Data Protection protocols.
  • Support data security and responsible data-sharing practices.
  • Guarantee information flow, storage, and archiving of data according to NRC standards.
  • Assist the Camp Management team with data collection, entry, and troubleshooting of databases.
  • Support monthly reviews and revisions of data in household and shelter databases, identifying and correcting duplicates and inaccuracies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date beneficiary database in collaboration with the program team. 1
  • Assist in developing Kobo tools for assessments and Data Analysis, collaborating with MEL colleagues. 1
  • Ensure relevant documents are uploaded to the Camp Management SharePoint securely. 1
  • Provide Technical Support for data collection tools and online communication platforms. 1
  • Contribute to the M&E matrixes for relevant projects and verify data with MEL colleagues. 1
  • Assist in data analysis and report production as requested. 1
  • Participate in documenting project lessons learned and provide feedback to the Camp Management team.

Required Qualifications:
  • A university degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in information management.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization programs such as Power BI, ArcMap, Stata, SPSS, R, Tableau, Adobe Illustrator, and In-Design.
  • Strong system and data audit capacity.
  • Mastery of IT tools, including the MS Office package, internet, and email.
  • Sufficient working knowledge of English, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of the local context in the geographical area of responsibility is essential.

Educational Background:
