Job Overview:
The Development Director position is a pivotal role within the American Heart Association, specifically aimed at leading the organization's mission-driven and revenue-generating efforts to enhance cardiovascular health across Wyoming. This position is responsible for generating an annual revenue of $200,000 through various streams, including new business development and foundation gifts. The role encompasses a wide range of health impact priorities, such as hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, nutrition, obesity, and physical activity. The Development Director will work from a home office but must reside within Wyoming, ensuring a strong connection to the local community. The position offers a competitive base salary with the potential for an incentive of up to 25% based on achieving specific revenue targets. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Development Director will be tasked with devising and implementing strategies for unified health and revenue efforts within the state. Key responsibilities include: developing community-wide strategies to foster a culture of health; driving the execution of health impact and fundraising goals; supporting the achievement of unrestricted field campaign goals through health asset sponsorships; maintaining and tracking health and fundraising data; coordinating activities and resources to meet campaign goals; conducting market health assessments; leading community collaborations; building and implementing strategies for hypertension, diabetes, and cholesterol control; collaborating with community partners to secure program funding; recruiting and managing volunteers; and consulting with healthcare providers to ensure best practices for patient treatment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related fields. Knowledge of social determinants of health (SDOH) and their impact on behavior modification is preferred. The role requires a willingness to travel across Wyoming as needed, and candidates should be able to lift and move large objects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position, and equivalent experience may be considered. The educational background should ideally include coursework or training related to health, fundraising, or community engagement, which would support the responsibilities of the Development Director.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least three years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or similar roles. This experience should demonstrate a proven track record of achieving revenue targets and engaging with community stakeholders effectively. Familiarity with health-related initiatives and community health strategies will be beneficial.

Languages:
