Job Overview:
The Vice President position at the American Heart Association is a leadership role within the Bay Area Division, specifically focused on managing the Go Red for Women team. This position is pivotal in driving fundraising efforts and achieving campaign goals that align with the organization's overarching objectives. The Vice President will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive development strategy aimed at aggressive growth in total and unrestricted revenue. This role requires collaboration with colleagues across various regions to maximize opportunities and ensure that the organization's mission is effectively executed. The Vice President will also have access to resources such as Heart U, the AHA's corporate university, to support their professional development and success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Vice President will lead the Go Red for Women Development team, ensuring that campaign goals are met or exceeded. Key responsibilities include: developing and implementing a comprehensive development strategy for revenue growth; overseeing leadership recruitment and engagement; managing direct implementation of campaigns and individual giving initiatives; assessing and maintaining the necessary infrastructure and talent for sustained revenue goals; fostering a collaborative work environment; identifying and activating a strong volunteer leadership base; managing partnerships with key organizations and individuals; providing management expertise for fundraising campaigns; evaluating and reporting on campaign progress; ensuring compliance with operational and financial policies; and maintaining the integrity of donor information.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Leadership experience in a non-profit or sales organization is essential, as is experience in recruiting and engaging executive-level volunteers. A proven track record in building effective teams and achieving aggressive goals is required, along with the ability to influence others and execute strategic plans in a dynamic environment. Candidates should also have the ability to analyze market data and identify trends to inform fundraising strategies.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position. Candidates with advanced degrees or specialized training in relevant fields may be preferred, but the minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including significant supervisory experience. This experience should ideally be in a leadership role within a comparable non-profit or sales organization, demonstrating a strong ability to lead teams and achieve fundraising goals.

Languages:
While no specific language requirements are mentioned, proficiency in English is mandatory. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, particularly in diverse communities.

Additional Notes:
This is a full-time position based in Oakland, California. The expected salary range for this role is between $110,600 and $135,000 annually, with the potential for performance-based incentives.
