Job Overview: The Payroll Systems Officer position at the OECD's International Service for Remunerations and Pensions (ISRP) involves providing technical and operational support for payroll systems and related applications. The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of payroll services. The selected candidate will report directly to the ISRP Payroll System Manager and will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing secure IT solutions for payroll processes, supporting the migration of payroll applications to updated platforms, and providing first-line support for payroll systems. The position also includes developing and documenting payroll system procedures, training end-users, and identifying opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements. The role is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Payroll Systems Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including assisting in the maintenance and optimization of payroll processes, ensuring proper data input, processing, and output flows for payroll systems. The officer will support the migration of existing payroll applications to updated platforms and conduct post-implementation testing. Additionally, the role involves configuring and supporting payroll software packages to meet the evolving business needs of the ISRP, providing first-line support for payroll systems, and resolving technical issues. The officer will also assist in developing, documenting, and implementing payroll system procedures, maintaining system documentation, and providing training and support to end-users. Collaboration with ISRP colleagues to identify system enhancements and process improvements is essential, as is participation in troubleshooting activities and liaising with IT teams and vendors. The officer will contribute to reporting on payroll system performance and ensure compliance with relevant standards and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in information technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant industry certifications in technologies related to payroll systems are also required. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in payroll systems support, IT operations, or a related role is essential. Candidates should have experience providing technical support for administrative and financial IT solutions, as well as demonstrated knowledge of HR and payroll applications, databases, and system integrations. Knowledge of project management principles is desirable, and candidates should have a proven ability to work collaboratively in multicultural environments.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree in information technology or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered. Relevant industry certifications, particularly those related to payroll systems and technologies, are highly valued.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience in payroll systems support, IT operations, or a related role. Languages: Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages, English or French, is mandatory, along with knowledge of the other language. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to achieving a good working level in the second language.
Additional Notes: This position is a 12-month fixed-term appointment, with the possibility of renewal for a maximum of 36 months. The monthly salary starts at 6,717.19 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax.
