The Sr Digital Developer position at the American Heart Association involves designing, developing, and modifying web applications and integration software to enhance digital fundraising efforts across the organization. Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Sr Digital Developer include designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using modern technologies such as React, Ionic React, Nest.js, and Typescript. The developer will create software artifacts based on defined requirements and architectural standards, conduct unit and integrated testing, and support user acceptance testing. Responsibilities also include managing incoming tickets and defects, performing preliminary debugging, and communicating with customers regarding ticket status. The developer will assist in clarifying and refining business requirements, provide estimations for project timelines, and offer coordination and project support as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development. Proficiency in technologies such as React, Ionic React, Nest.js, and Typescript is essential. Experience with ticketing systems, troubleshooting web application defects, and debugging using in-browser tools is also required. Familiarity with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)/Azure DevOps or similar project tracking tools is necessary. Strong customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset with effective problem-solving abilities are critical for success in this role.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
