Job Overview:
The Sr Digital Developer role at the American Heart Association is pivotal in designing, developing, and modifying web applications and integration software that support the organization's digital fundraising efforts. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using technologies such as React, Ionic React, Nest.js, and Typescript. Familiarity with Microsoft .NET framework/core and Web API is considered a plus.
  • Developing software artifacts based on detailed requirements, solution architecture, application architecture, and established development standards.
  • Conducting thorough testing of developed software during unit and integrated testing cycles, and supporting user acceptance testing while addressing any defects that arise.
  • Managing incoming tickets and defects, which includes preliminary debugging, triaging issues, escalating as necessary, and communicating updates to customers regarding the status of their tickets.
  • Supporting the clarification and refinement of business requirements to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Providing accurate estimations based on requirements and functional specifications to aid in project planning.
  • Offering coordination, production, and project support to ensure timely delivery of digital solutions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Sr Digital Developer position must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development is required. Proficiency in technologies such as React, Ionic React, Nest.js, and Typescript is essential. Experience with ticketing systems, troubleshooting web application defects, and debugging using in-browser tools is also necessary. Familiarity with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)/Azure DevOps or similar project tracking tools is expected. Candidates should demonstrate a customer service mindset, possess excellent communication skills, and exhibit a solutions-oriented approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
