Job Overview:
The Programme Analyst for the Gender-Based Violence Integrated Management System (GBVIMS) will provide technical support in developing GBVIMS activities in Diffa. This role involves coordinating the collection of service provision data related to gender-based violence, consolidating reports, and sharing information in accordance with the GBVIMS data sharing protocol in Niger. The analyst will work under the general supervision of the UNFPA Representative and the direct supervision of the UNFPA Sub-Office Coordinator in Diffa, collaborating closely with field partners, program managers, and the UNFPA Operations team. The position aims to ensure the effective implementation of GBVIMS activities, contribute to design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design and formulation, and integrate gender-based violence issues into the country program and annual work plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing GBVIMS activities, including:
  • Guiding the development and monitoring the implementation of GBVIMS activities;
  • Facilitating regular meetings of the GBVIMS Task-force to share and discuss activities, achievements, and solutions to challenges;
  • Continuously monitoring the use of GBVIMS through discussions and meetings with stakeholders;
  • Ensuring effective reporting, knowledge sharing, and networking regarding the implementation and results of GBVIMS;
  • Supporting the GBVIMS technical group in quarterly data analysis;
  • Training and capacity building for partners on data collection, management, and reporting related to GBV;
  • Documenting and disseminating best practices and positive experiences in the field;
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including UNFPA country office management, program colleagues, and civil society organizations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in social sciences, medical sciences, or a relevant field. A minimum of two years of professional experience in implementing and monitoring actions related to gender-based violence is required. Experience in program planning, design, and management, as well as in statistics or a related field, is essential. Candidates should have experience in coordinating with government counterparts and other stakeholders, including NGOs and communities. Knowledge of multi-sectoral support and survivor-centered approaches is preferred, along with demonstrated ability to analyze data/statistics for humanitarian operations. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, Access, and database software, are necessary.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in social sciences, medical sciences, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to address the complexities of gender-based violence and its management.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in the implementation and monitoring of gender-based violence actions. Candidates should have experience in program planning, design, and management, as well as in statistics or a related field. Experience in coordinating with government counterparts and other stakeholders, including NGOs and communities, is also necessary. Candidates with experience in case management of gender-based violence, multi-sectoral services, and referrals will be preferred.

Languages:
Fluency in French (oral and written) is mandatory, along with a good knowledge of English (oral and written). This bilingual proficiency is crucial for effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders in the field.
