Job Overview:
The Senior Development Director position is a hybrid role based in the South Central Pennsylvania area, specifically in cities such as Harrisburg, Carlisle, York, Gettysburg, Lancaster, and Lebanon. This role involves leading a team of two Development Directors and reporting directly to the Executive Director. The primary responsibility is to plan, organize, and direct social campaigns, including the Gala Heart Ball, Go Red for Women, and Impact Campaigns. The Senior Development Director will be tasked with achieving an annual revenue goal of $700K through strategic fundraising events, partnerships, and donor engagement. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and nurturing relationships with corporate and community leaders, as well as building a network of volunteer partnerships to further the AHA's mission. The role is situated in a fast-paced environment focused on driving revenue to support the organization's health initiatives, and it offers a competitive base salary with performance-based incentives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Senior Development Director, your responsibilities will include guiding and directing assigned staff to meet organizational goals, overseeing hiring, training, and performance evaluations. You will be accountable for ensuring that your team meets or exceeds annual revenue goals for the South-Central PA market. Engaging and mobilizing CEOs and community leaders to participate in volunteer leadership committees for fundraising events is crucial. You will lead sponsorships and relationships, ensuring effective cultivation and stewardship to achieve campaign goals. Additionally, you will manage the planning processes for social campaigns, develop and monitor budgets, and supervise event logistics, including promotions and auctions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement market strategies and build sponsorships will also be a key aspect of your role.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in corporate sales or fundraising, with at least one year in a supervisory role focused on revenue goals. Strong leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to coach and mentor staff effectively. Experience in volunteer recruitment and management, particularly at the senior level, is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of exceeding sales or fundraising goals and possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Flexibility to work outside normal hours and the ability to travel locally up to 75% are also required.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree is preferred for this position, although relevant college coursework combined with related experience may be considered as a substitute. The educational background should ideally align with the responsibilities of fundraising and corporate engagement.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience in corporate sales or fundraising, with a strong preference for those who have supervisory experience. Proven success in exceeding revenue targets and managing teams is critical for this role.

Languages:
