Job Overview:
The position of Gestora de Proyectos Africa involves overseeing and managing various projects aimed at enhancing development in African countries. The role requires a deep understanding of project management principles, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with local partners and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to develop project proposals, monitor project implementation, and ensure that objectives are met within the specified timelines and budgets. Additionally, the role includes reporting on project progress and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements, and contributing to strategic planning for future projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with local partners and stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on project status to management and donors.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to measure project impact and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate training and capacity-building activities for local staff and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to identify new project opportunities and areas for growth.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing development projects in Africa or similar contexts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in a multicultural environment. Proficiency in project management software and tools is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission and values.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in international development, project management, social sciences, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may enhance the candidate's competitiveness for the position.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in the context of international development or humanitarian assistance, is required. Experience working in African countries is highly desirable, as is familiarity with donor regulations and compliance requirements.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages spoken in the regions of Africa where projects are implemented would be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
