Job Overview: The Sexual and Reproductive Health in Emergencies (SRHiE) Analyst plays a crucial role in coordinating and monitoring sexual and reproductive health interventions in disaster-affected areas of the Philippines, particularly in Region V (Bicol). This position is vital for ensuring the continuity of life-saving reproductive health services, including maternal health, family planning, adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH), and HIV/STI services. The Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-government organizations, and other UN agencies, to implement and oversee humanitarian responses to the urgent needs arising from recent natural disasters. The role requires a strong commitment to promoting SRH programming and services in crisis situations, as well as the ability to navigate complex humanitarian environments. The Analyst will also be responsible for establishing partnerships and ensuring that the specific needs of vulnerable populations, such as pregnant women and adolescents, are met during emergencies.
Duties and Responsibilities: The SRHiE Analyst will be responsible for a range of duties, including:
Providing programmatic support and quality assurance for ongoing UNFPA humanitarian responses related to sexual and reproductive health.
Conducting rapid assessments of SRH needs in affected populations and analyzing data to inform design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design and implementation.
Representing UNFPA in inter-agency meetings and consultations, providing feedback on SRH issues at local and regional levels.
Supporting the functionality of regional and provincial SRH coordination mechanisms with implementing partners.
Building partnerships with government units, NGOs, and other stakeholders to promote SRH services. 1
Identifying resource mobilization opportunities to enhance UNFPA's investments in SRHR.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced degree in health sciences, public health, or a relevant field of study. Additionally, a minimum of two years of working experience in public health is required. Previous experience in sexual and reproductive health services, particularly in networking with maternal health providers, is highly advantageous. Experience in humanitarian work is also preferred. Proficiency in computer literacy is essential for this role, as the Analyst will be required to utilize various software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Educational Background: The position requires an advanced degree in health sciences, public health, or a related field. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of sexual and reproductive health issues, particularly in emergency contexts. Candidates with specialized training in humanitarian response or disaster management will be viewed favorably, as these skills are directly applicable to the responsibilities of the SRHiE Analyst.

Languages: Proficiency in Filipino and English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of local languages spoken in the Bicol Region is considered an asset, as it will facilitate communication with local communities and stakeholders. Additional Notes: This is a full-time, temporary position with an initial duration of six months, subject to renewal based on the availability of funds. The role is non-rotational, meaning that the Analyst will be based in Legazpi, Albay, Philippines, and will not be required to relocate frequently.
