Job Overview:
The Program Manager, Health Science, Lab Ecosystem will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of a global network of laboratories that contribute to the Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI) and related programs. This role is crucial for fostering collaboration among various stakeholders in the food, agriculture, and health sectors. The manager will utilize their expertise in food composition analysis and data science to facilitate the distribution and application of PTFI tools and training. This position is home-based, allowing for flexibility while contributing to a significant health initiative.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Lab Ecosystem Manager will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
  • Content Generation: Co-creating scientific reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate progress and best practices within the PTFI ecosystem.
  • Communication: Acting as the primary contact for the PTFI global ecosystem, managing inquiries from data users and contributors, and coordinating communications among PTFI, Good Food Fellows, and Food EDU ecosystems.
  • Coordination: Collaborating with PTFI team members to support the onboarding of multi-omics tools and aligning workflows for scientific training distribution.
  • Monitoring: Tracking PTFI deliverables and project timelines, providing feedback to enhance processes, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Contracts and Agreements: Managing contracts and agreements with collaborating labs and service providers, ensuring compliance and effective communication with legal and administrative teams.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field such as Nutrition, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Public Health, or Environmental Science. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of experience in interdisciplinary and multi-institutional projects is required, with global experience being preferred. Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment are essential.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have advanced educational qualifications, specifically a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant scientific discipline. This educational background should ideally include laboratory experience, which is critical for understanding the complexities of food composition analysis and related research.

Experience:
The position requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in participating in interdisciplinary projects that involve multiple institutions. Experience in global health initiatives or projects is highly desirable, as it will enhance the candidate's ability to navigate the complexities of international collaboration in health science.

Languages:
