Job Overview:
The Senior Business Operations Director plays a crucial role within the Orange County Inland Empire Coachella Valley (OIC) Division, based in Irvine, California. This position is responsible for the strategic development, planning, management, and implementation of operations and special events that align with the division's revenue, health impact, and volunteer engagement objectives. The director will independently oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring compliance with laws and policies while maintaining operational efficiency. The role requires a proactive approach to managing resources and fostering a collaborative environment that supports the AHA's mission and values. The director will also have access to various resources, including Heart U, the organization's corporate university, to enhance their professional development and work-life balance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Business Operations Director will manage coordinators in line with AHA's leadership competencies, providing guidance in operations, volunteer recruitment, event logistics, and vendor management. The director will serve as the primary liaison with Western States and National departments, ensuring compliance with finance, human resources, and safety standards. Responsibilities include managing facilities and property, overseeing daily operations, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols are met. The director will develop and manage volunteer recruitment strategies, train volunteers, and coordinate logistics for fundraising events, including vendor management and contract negotiations. Additionally, the director will track campaign budgets, manage invoices, and ensure compliance with fiscal policies. The role also involves customer relationship management and supporting other divisions as needed, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of experience in managing complex operations and projects within a high-performing team environment. The ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects, communicate effectively, and maintain professionalism in customer interactions is essential. Proven problem-solving skills and experience in project and event management are required, along with the ability to manage change and negotiate service agreements.
