The organization is committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls, making it a vital player in global efforts to improve health and well-being.

Job Overview:
UNFPA Iraq is seeking 200 enthusiastic online volunteers to participate in a significant initiative aimed at amplifying the celebration of International Women’s Day. This role is crucial for disseminating key messages across various social media platforms, thereby raising awareness about gender equality and engaging audiences in meaningful discussions. Volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to a global movement while gaining practical experience in digital advocacy and communications. This assignment not only enhances the visibility of UNFPA’s content but also mobilizes support for women’s rights, making it a rewarding experience for those passionate about social change.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the online volunteers include: - Reposting and promoting UNFPA’s official International Women’s Day social media posts to increase their reach. - Actively engaging with audiences by liking, commenting, and resharing content to enhance visibility and interaction. - Utilizing designated hashtags and messaging to ensure alignment with UNFPA’s campaign objectives. - Encouraging discussions and interactions around the themes of gender equality and women’s rights. - Suggesting innovative and creative strategies to maximize engagement within their personal and professional networks. - Ensuring active participation by sharing at least 10 UNFPA posts across social media platforms. - Providing meaningful engagement through likes, comments, and shares on campaign content. - Supporting efforts to expand UNFPA’s reach to diverse audiences and keeping track of links to posts and comments for performance evaluation.

Required Qualifications:
Volunteers should possess a strong interest in gender equality, women's rights, and social media engagement. They should be comfortable using various social media platforms and have a basic understanding of digital advocacy. While prior experience in social media management or advocacy is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Volunteers should also demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences effectively.

Educational Background:
While there are no specific educational requirements for this volunteer position, candidates with backgrounds in communications, social sciences, gender studies, or related fields may find their skills particularly relevant. A passion for social issues and a commitment to promoting gender equality are essential.

Experience:
This position is open to individuals with varying levels of experience. Whether you are a seasoned social media user or a newcomer eager to learn, your enthusiasm and willingness to engage with the community are what matter most. Experience in volunteer work or advocacy campaigns is a plus but not a requirement.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communications and campaign materials will be in English. Knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable, given the local context and audience engagement in Iraq. Additional languages may be beneficial but are not required.

Additional Notes:
This is a remote volunteer position, allowing individuals from various locations to participate. The role is part-time and flexible, accommodating volunteers' schedules. Upon successful completion of the assignment, all volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation from UNV, recognizing their contributions to the campaign.
