Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.
• Conduct research and analysis on relevant policy issues to inform advocacy efforts.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and community organizations.
• Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and public forums to advocate for policy changes.
• Prepare policy briefs, reports, and presentations to communicate advocacy positions effectively.
• Collaborate with program teams to ensure advocacy efforts support programmatic objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of advocacy initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
• Organize training and capacity-building workshops for staff and partners on advocacy techniques and strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in advocacy, public policy, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of the political landscape and policy-making processes in Niger.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and research skills to inform advocacy strategies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in political science, international relations, social sciences, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred and may be considered an asset for this position.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in advocacy, public policy, or a related field is required. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Niger. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, and knowledge of local languages is a plus.
