Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include assisting with event planning and support, such as coordinating logistics and managing on-site event activities. They will conduct outreach to event participants, engage with sponsors, and assist in maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. The intern will also handle data entry and reporting, providing administrative support by preparing materials and organizing supplies. Additionally, they will update media contact lists, create social media content, and assist with press releases to promote local events and disseminate important information about the organization's mission.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should preferably be seniors or graduate students pursuing degrees in business, communications, public relations, nonprofit fundraising, or event management. Experience or interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising is essential. Proficiency in multiple social media platforms and demonstrated excellence in written communication skills are required. The ability to communicate effectively in both one-on-one and group settings is crucial, as is the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate to excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is necessary, along with basic knowledge of Canva. Reliable WiFi and transportation are required, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as business, communications, public relations, nonprofit fundraising, or event management.
