Job Overview: The position involves leading the implementation of dynamic learning paths designed to enhance leadership across UNICEF. The consultant will manage and monitor comprehensive learning paths, oversee 27 e-learning modules in multiple languages, and integrate innovative educational practices based on feedback. The role requires the consultant to develop, adapt, and continuously update learning paths, ensuring they reflect changing realities and requirements. The consultant will also coordinate facilitators for facilitated conversations and manage the overall learning program's calendar, ensuring effective content improvements through collaboration with subject-matter experts. Additionally, the consultant will be responsible for assessing and monitoring learning impact and maintaining communication with the program team for cohesive implementation and continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the management and monitoring of comprehensive and dynamic learning paths.
Manage 27 e-learning modules in multiple languages and regularly update them.
Coordinate facilitators for facilitated conversations and manage the learning program's calendar.
Liaise with subject-matter experts to incorporate feedback for content improvements.
Develop plans for assessing and monitoring learning impact.
Set up a monthly reporting system to track progress and engagement.
Maintain close communication with the program team for effective implementation.
Provide regular updates to the Programme Coordinator on progress and challenges.
Support other components of the program, including EQ assessment, coaching, and mentoring.
Minimum 8 years of experience in instructional design for both in-person and virtual interventions.
Prior experience in peer-to-peer learning and coaching design.
Excellent project management skills and experience in managing learning programs.
Strong command of written communications in English.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences is required for this position, which provides a foundational understanding of the social dynamics and educational principles necessary for effective instructional design and program management.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in instructional design, which includes both in-person and virtual learning interventions. Candidates should have a proven track record in peer-to-peer learning and coaching design, demonstrating their ability to create effective learning experiences and manage educational programs successfully.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Additional language skills, particularly in French and Spanish, would be advantageous given the multilingual nature of the e-learning modules and the need to communicate effectively with a diverse group of participants.
Additional Notes: The consultancy is for a duration of 6 months, with specific deliverables and deadlines outlined for various tasks. The consultant will be expected to provide a financial proposal indicating their professional fee, and any necessary business travel costs will be covered separately by UNICEF. It is important to note that individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered staff members and will not receive benefits typically provided to staff, such as leave entitlements and medical insurance. Selected candidates will undergo rigorous reference and background checks, including verification of academic credentials and employment history.
