Job Overview:
The Labour Mobility Division (LMD) Unit of IOM Kazakhstan is seeking Online Volunteers to assist with the translation of migration-related documents from English to Russian. This role provides an opportunity for volunteers to engage with IOM Kazakhstan's LMD members and gain insights into the organization's migration-related activities. Volunteers will be tasked with translating a 20-page document, ensuring that the translation is concise, adheres to communication guidelines, and is appropriate for the target audience. This position is entirely voluntary, and while it does not offer financial compensation, it provides valuable experience in a multicultural environment, the chance to develop skills, and the opportunity to expand professional networks. Upon successful completion of the assignment, volunteers will receive an electronic certificate of appreciation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Translate a 20-page document from English to Russian, ensuring accuracy and clarity in the translation. - Adhere to IOM's communication guidelines throughout the translation process. - Collaborate with IOM Kazakhstan's LMD team to understand the target audience and context for the translation. - Revise and edit translations as necessary based on feedback from IOM staff. - Maintain effective communication with the IOM team to clarify any uncertainties regarding the translation or guidelines. - Complete the translation within the agreed timeframe, demonstrating commitment and reliability.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in both English and Russian, with strong translation skills. - Familiarity with migration-related topics is an advantage. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. - Good communication skills to interact with IOM staff and seek clarification when needed.

Educational Background:
While there are no specific educational requirements for this volunteer position, a background in languages, translation, international relations, or migration studies would be beneficial. Volunteers should possess a strong command of both English and Russian languages.

Experience:
