Job Overview: The Protection Technical Assistant will play a crucial role in implementing the Protection portfolio according to established plans and procedures. This position involves taking primary responsibility for community-level Civilian Self-Protection (CSP) initiatives, conducting protection assessments, and supporting communities in implementing CSP strategies. Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
Assist with the implementation of the Protection portfolio according to the plan of action and establish procedures and best practices.
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
Ensure proper filing of documents.
Take primary responsibility for community-level Civilian Self-Protection (CSP) initiatives, including conducting protection assessments and gathering community information.
Provide training, coaching, and guidance to communities on CSP measures.
Deliver high-quality Community-Based Protection services, such as psychosocial support, information sessions, and community awareness-raising activities.
Conduct protection monitoring activities, including Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant Interviews, and Household Assessments.
Report protection incidents, identify protection needs, and provide regular updates to the line manager. 1
Conduct field visits to identify individuals at risk and refer them to the line manager or other service providers. 1
Update service and stakeholder mapping quarterly. 1
Collaborate with the line manager to analyze qualitative data and ensure proper archiving of data collection forms. 1
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly protection reports. 1

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in an assistant-level project implementation position in a humanitarian or recovery context.
Experience working in complex and volatile contexts.
Technical Protection expertise, particularly in Community-Based Protection services.
Good understanding of key technical standards related to CSP, psychosocial support, and humanitarian principles.
Excellent communication, networking, and partnership-building skills.
Proven experience in Community-Based Protection services.
