Job Overview:
The Sr. Donor Relations Manager plays a crucial role in the Mission Advancement department of the American Heart Association. This position is primarily responsible for leading donor stewardship services and enhancing relationships with donors and their representatives. The manager will act as a strategic project manager, ensuring that grant and gift deliverables are met while focusing on donor satisfaction, recognition, and engagement. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of the Sr. Donor Relations Manager include leading and managing high-capacity donor stewardship services, serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of assigned relationships, and ensuring exceptional support for donors. The manager will oversee the transition of projects from award notification to implementation, ensuring clarity and alignment among team members regarding roles, budgets, and deliverables. Responsibilities also include customizing and developing high-quality project reports, managing donor recognition efforts, and utilizing project management software to track progress. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in fundraising, donor stewardship, or marketing. Proficiency in advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management systems is required. Experience in grant writing and the ability to develop and deliver presentations to various audience sizes are also necessary. Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position, with a preference for candidates who have pursued studies related to nonprofit management, communications, or a similar field.
