Job Overview: The Strategy, Programs Quality and Impact Associate Director will play a crucial role in leading a high-performing team that captures, utilizes, and communicates evidence of impact across various funding streams. This position requires collaboration with different departments within World Vision Niger to ensure the delivery of high-quality programmatic work. The Associate Director will oversee the quality assurance of impact across all funding streams, including Child Sponsorship, Grants, Gift in Kind, and Private Non-Sponsorship funded programs. The role involves measuring and communicating both project-level and portfolio impact, ensuring that World Vision Niger's strategy is informed by impact data. Additionally, the Associate Director will support a shift towards grant and corporate funding, ensuring that all resource streams contribute to improved child well-being in the communities served by World Vision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a high-performing team focused on capturing and communicating evidence of impact.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure the delivery of quality programmatic work across all funding streams.
Provide quality assurance of impact across Child Sponsorship, Grants, Gift in Kind, and Private Non-Sponsorship funded programs.
Measure and communicate project-level and portfolio impact effectively.
Oversee the development and execution of strategies that are driven by impact data.
Support the organization in pivoting towards grant and corporate funding.
Ensure that all resource streams contribute to improved child well-being in the communities where World Vision operates.
Travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 30% of the time.
A Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project management cycles within a complex international development organization, particularly in development and relief projects.
At least 5 years of experience at a managerial level.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation at a senior manager level.
Proven experience in strategy development, cascading, and reporting.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in fields such as international development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Program Management, Business Administration, or Rural Development. A Master’s degree in a related field is considered an advantage and may enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in project management cycles, specifically within a complex international development organization. Out of these, at least 5 years should be at a managerial level, demonstrating leadership and strategic oversight. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation at a senior manager level, showcasing their ability to assess and communicate impact effectively.
Languages: Fluency in both written and oral English and French is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication within the organization and with stakeholders.
Additional Notes: The position is based in the Niamey office and requires the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
