Job Overview:
The position of Administrator/a in Bolivia is crucial for the administrative and human resources management of Médicos del Mundo's mission in the country. The Administrator/a will be responsible for ensuring that all administrative processes align with the established procedures of Médicos del Mundo and comply with the regulations set by donors and national authorities. This role involves overseeing the financial execution, monitoring, and accounting justification of the mission's projects and programs. The Administrator/a will work closely with the country coordination-team" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">coordination team and the administrative staff to ensure efficient resource management and compliance with legal and fiscal obligations. The position requires frequent visits to various bases across the country, including Pando and Velasco, to support local administrative teams and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Administrator/a will have a wide range of responsibilities, including reviewing contracts, agreements, and commitments related to the organization's obligations with third parties. They will manage financial resources efficiently, including accounting tasks, financial monitoring, and treasury management. The Administrator/a will be responsible for preparing and justifying budgets according to the established norms and will accompany exploratory missions as needed. They will also apply the organization's regulations regarding resource management and define local administrative protocols. Human resources management is a key aspect of this role, including recruitment processes, documentation management, and staff training. The Administrator/a will ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations related to the organization's operations in Bolivia, including tax and labor responsibilities. They will represent the organization in institutional forums and meetings related to administrative and financial matters, and will coordinate closely with the entire team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a medium or higher academic qualification, preferably in Business or Economic Sciences. Additional training in development cooperation, project management, and justification will be valued. Proficiency in Spanish is mandatory, and candidates should have strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and internet usage. Knowledge of Activity Info and database management will be considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate problem-solving skills, knowledge management, results orientation, teamwork, cultural awareness, and adaptability, as well as alignment with the values and mission of Médicos del Mundo.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a medium or higher academic qualification in a relevant field, such as Business Administration or Economics. Additional training in areas related to development cooperation and project management is highly desirable and will enhance the candidate's profile.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in similar roles is essential for this position. Candidates should have a proven track record in administrative and financial management, particularly within the context of non-profit organizations or humanitarian missions. Experience in managing human resources and compliance with legal and fiscal obligations is also crucial.
Languages:
