Job Overview:
This internship opportunity is situated within the Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, Netherlands. The intern will be involved in the Industrial Policy and Auditing Department, which plays a crucial role in fostering relationships between the agency and the industry. The intern will focus on project control processes automation and data handling improvements, utilizing tools such as SharePoint and PowerBI. The role requires a proactive approach to process automation and the development of financial data handling tools, contributing to the efficiency of the team and the overall objectives of the agency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for several key tasks, including:
  • Automating processes in SharePoint using Power Automate, Power Apps, Python, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Managing Linux for virtual machines to support various projects.
  • Developing financial data handling processes and creating PowerBI dashboards to visualize data effectively.
  • Creating new tools and applications that enhance the operational efficiency of the team.
  • Collaborating with team members to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions that align with the agency's goals.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to discussions on project progress and challenges.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be university students, preferably in their final or second-to-last year of a Master's level course. A strong technical or scientific background is essential, with a focus on disciplines relevant to the tasks outlined in the internship. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a good understanding of project management and data handling processes, as well as proficiency in programming and automation tools.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should be enrolled in a Master's level program in a technical or scientific discipline. This educational background is crucial as it provides the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the projects undertaken by the Industrial Policy and Auditing Department.
