Job Overview:
The Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing trauma-informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants, ensuring they have a positive resettlement experience and can achieve self-sufficiency. This position involves managing a team that delivers Refugee Cash Assistance, working closely with clients to develop tailored service and self-sufficiency plans. The RCA Coordinator is responsible for coordinating intake processes, verifying eligibility for RCA benefits, and ensuring compliance with program requirements. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including caseworkers, employment specialists, and partner agencies, to monitor client participation in services and ensure that clients receive the necessary support to thrive in their new environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The RCA Coordinator's responsibilities include coordinating intake with refugees and other eligible populations, supervising caseworkers, ensuring program compliance, and maintaining oversight of case files. The coordinator will also manage a reduced caseload of newly arrived clients, assess their progress, and develop local resources to support them. Additionally, the RCA Coordinator will recruit and train staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure that the team adheres to agency policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the program's objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the human services field. A minimum of 2 years of resettlement experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, and a commitment to the IRC's core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle are also required.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is preferred for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of human services and the specific needs of refugees and immigrants.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in the human services field, with a strong preference for candidates who have at least 2 years of experience specifically in resettlement services. This experience is essential for effectively managing the challenges faced by clients and ensuring they receive the appropriate support.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages spoken by the client group is highly desired, as it enhances communication and service delivery to diverse populations.
