Job Overview: The Grants and Compliance Manager at Concern Worldwide US is responsible for providing comprehensive financial, accounting, compliance, and grant support services to meet the needs of the organization and its donors. This role involves close collaboration with various departments within Concern US, the affiliated organization in Ireland, and program staff overseas. The Manager will focus on both pre-award and post-award accounting and compliance duties, which include supporting the proposal submission process, grant accounting, reporting, maintaining cash controls, and providing analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis for various programs. The position also requires expert support to Programs and Operations teams and field staff in budget and report preparations to ensure compliance with donor requirements and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Grants and Compliance Manager include assisting in pre-award activities such as reading proposal guidelines, preparing administrative components for proposal submissions, developing budgets, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. In post-award activities, the Manager will create accounts in the system, monitor regulatory compliance, prepare financial reports for funders, reconcile accounts, and assist in re-budgeting requests. Other responsibilities include providing technical support to program staff regarding specific regulations, maintaining organizational policies and procedures, supporting private fundraising teams, conducting onsite monitoring visits, and assisting in the development of the Accounting Information System. The Manager will also perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field that includes coursework in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). A minimum of 5 years of grant accounting experience is required, with at least 3 years in US Government Award administration. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of federal regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance and Cost Accounting Standards, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, are essential, along with strong mathematical, analytical, and communication skills.
