Job Overview:
The UN Volunteer - Social Protection Specialist will work under the direct supervision of the Social Protection Specialist at UNICEF Cambodia. This role involves assisting in the development of integrated social assistance monitoring and shock-responsive family package guidelines. The volunteer will create workflows and report formats for an integrated social assistance monitoring module, analyze data for program planning and evaluation, and conduct field-based coordination meetings to improve program delivery. The position requires field site visits to assess implementation progress and support government partners in planning and monitoring social assistance programs. The volunteer will also contribute to the analysis of progress against social protection activities and attend technical consultation meetings to facilitate effective program implementation and monitoring. This role is crucial in enhancing the understanding of social protection and engaging with vulnerable groups to address their needs through social assistance delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the UN Volunteer include:
  • Assisting in the development of integrated social assistance monitoring and shock-responsive family package guidelines.
  • Creating workflows and report formats for an integrated social assistance monitoring module.
  • Analyzing data from the system for program planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Conducting field-based coordination meetings with sub-national NSAF to improve program delivery.
  • Undertaking field site visits to assess implementation progress and resources.
  • Supporting government partners in planning, implementing, and monitoring social assistance activities.
  • Contributing to the analysis of progress against social protection activities in the RWP 2025-202
  • Attending technical consultation meetings and preparing notes.
  • Strengthening program linkages with other PPF4C outputs and office program components. 1
  • Engaging in UNV activities and promoting local forms of volunteerism.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a strong understanding of social protection systems, particularly in relation to social assistance programs. Candidates should possess analytical skills to interpret data effectively and have experience in program planning and monitoring. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential for conducting meetings and engaging with various stakeholders. Familiarity with UNICEF's mission and objectives, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, is also important. Educational Background:
Candidates should have a degree in social sciences, public policy, international development, or a related field. A background in social protection or child rights is highly desirable. Experience:

Languages:
