Job Overview:

The intern will play a crucial role in supporting emergency operations, which includes monitoring emergency situations, communicating with clients and providers, and updating response plans. The role also entails data management, where the intern will collect, analyze, and maintain emergency response data, ensuring accurate documentation of incidents and activities. Administrative support is another key aspect of the position, which includes scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining emergency contact lists. The intern will also assist in researching potential clients for medical assistance services and responding to client inquiries, making this a multifaceted role that provides exposure to various operational aspects of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in emergency operations by supporting the coordination of emergency response activities, including monitoring emergency situations and updating response plans.
  • Liaise with clients and providers via phone and email, ensuring effective communication.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain emergency response data, ensuring accurate documentation of incidents and activities.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining emergency contact lists.
  • Process claims and raise purchase orders as needed.
  • Research potential clients for medical assistance services and assist in client communications.
  • Respond to client inquiries, gather relevant information, and provide updates.
  • Follow up on action items resulting from client meetings.
  • Research potential network providers and facilities worldwide, contacting and attending meetings with them. 1
  • Update the network database continuously and create and maintain network maps and data. 1
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a recent graduate in a relevant field such as healthcare management, business administration, international relations, or emergency management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to adjust to new tasks and environments quickly.
