Job Overview:
The IT Asset Analyst role at the American Heart Association is pivotal in managing the lifecycle of IT assets, including both hardware and software. This position involves developing standards for software solutions, analyzing new software requests, and ensuring compliance with legal and cybersecurity requirements. The analyst will work closely with Business Technology Solutions Managers and other stakeholders to support new business initiatives and grants that have unique technical needs. The role also includes managing inventory assessments, audits, and the disposal of IT assets, ensuring accurate tracking within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The IT Asset Analyst is expected to enhance operational efficiencies through the analysis and recommendation of software modifications and new procedures, ultimately contributing to cost reductions and improved compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Asset Analyst will be responsible for managing the intake of new applications, collaborating with Business Solutions Managers to analyze requirements, and vetting products with Legal, Risk Management, and Cybersecurity teams. The analyst will conduct inventory assessments and audits, manage the disposal of IT assets, and ensure proper tracking within the CMDB. They will analyze and recommend modifications or new software introductions to improve operational efficiencies, oversee IT hardware and software assets across various sectors of the AHA, and develop and update auditing processes and procedures. Additionally, the analyst will demonstrate a commitment to customer service by addressing Technology Service Desk tickets, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely solutions that meet service level agreements.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, along with at least three years of experience in implementing, using, and supporting enterprise asset management. A minimum of three years of experience using a Service Management System is also required. Applicants should have a deep understanding of IT Asset Management, particularly focusing on the hardware and software lifecycle. Experience in assessing user software needs and recommending current standards, as well as familiarity with ITIL best practices, is essential. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to developing and updating software and hardware audit processes are necessary, along with experience conducting software audits to ensure compliance.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. This educational background should provide a solid foundation in information technology principles, asset management, and organizational processes.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in enterprise asset management, demonstrating a proven track record of effectively managing IT assets and supporting organizational needs.
