The Operations and Management Directorate (OMD) within SPC provides corporate services to all divisions and programs, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness of systems, policies, and management to deliver high-quality, customer-oriented services.

Job Overview:
The Business Analyst – Business Central Implementation will play a crucial role in supporting the PIIC Advisor by conducting business process analysis and requirements gathering, overseeing the implementation and management of Business Central, and identifying risks associated with finance systems and processes. This position requires a deep understanding of finance business processes, the ability to evaluate and improve workflows, and the capacity to manage system upgrades and add-ons. The analyst will also be responsible for developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiencies and will work closely with the finance team to ensure that all users are trained effectively on new processes and systems. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and ensuring that the finance system aligns with the organization's goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Business Analyst include:
  • Conducting business process analysis by mapping workflows of significant finance processes in consultation with process owners.
  • Evaluating and analyzing workflows for effectiveness and efficiency, identifying internal control deficiencies, and recommending improvements.
  • Developing key business requirements for finance processes in collaboration with the senior central finance team.
  • Managing the upgrade of the finance system from NAV17 to MS Dynamics Business Central, ensuring high-quality deliverables from vendors.
  • Supporting user acceptance testing and training for the central finance team.
  • Identifying flaws in processes and systems, ensuring proper separation of duties and access controls.
  • Conducting periodic reviews of systems and processes to identify potential risks.
  • Collaborating with other business analysts to align work with team objectives and support shared services projects.
  • Utilizing low/no-code tools to create automation, apps, and dashboards for users.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in accounting, business administration, or a similar financial management qualification with an IT major, or an IT degree with a major in accounting or finance. A project management certification is also required. Additionally, candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in accounting or IT systems analysis, experience with Business Central Microsoft ERP, and proficiency in process workflow analysis and data modeling techniques. Strong client focus, critical thinking skills, and excellent proficiency in O365 applications are essential.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field with a focus on financial management and IT. A project management certification is also necessary to ensure that the candidate has the skills to manage projects effectively.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or IT systems analysis. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with Business Central Microsoft ERP and experience in process workflow analysis, preparation of system requirements, and data modeling techniques. The ability to think critically and provide insightful analysis is crucial for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of French is considered an advantage, as SPC operates in both English and French.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is budgeted for 3 years, with the possibility of renewal based on funding and performance. The position is classified as Band 9 in SPC’s 2024 salary scale, with a starting salary range of 3,209–3,915 SDR per month, which converts to approximately XPF 474,675–579,141 (USD 4,268–5,207; EUR 3,978–4,853). Initial offers will be made in the lower half of this range, considering experience and qualifications. SPC provides various benefits for international staff, including subsidized housing, establishment and repatriation grants, removal expenses, airfares, health and life insurance, and education allowances.
