Job Overview: The Program Manager will play a crucial role in leading the national Cardiovascular Kidney Metabolic Health (CKMH) initiative. This position is designed for someone who can work closely with the implementation team to enhance the national presence of the CKMH initiative. The Program Manager will be responsible for strategic delivery of initiative commitments, which includes overseeing operational processes, data collection and reporting, budget management, and ensuring that all related activities are executed effectively. This role requires strong communication skills to liaise with various departments and ensure that all tasks are completed according to grant timelines. The position is home-based, offering flexibility while being a full-time, benefits-eligible role funded by grants that are expected to last until June 30, 2028, with potential for extension.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the CKMH initiative, ensuring that all commitments are met across implementation cohorts and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include regular communication with the National Director and other leads to track progress, leading marketing and registration for events, supporting collaborative learning activities, and analyzing results from training and education initiatives. The Program Manager will also develop presentations and reports to reflect the initiative's progress and insights for both internal and external audiences. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with various stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, along with two to five years of relevant experience in program or project management, particularly within healthcare or public health organizations. Strong skills in design, presentation, and report development are essential, as well as the ability to influence performance without direct accountability. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills are required, along with comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. The ability to travel locally and for overnight stays up to 15% is also necessary.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required, with equivalent work experience considered. The educational background should ideally include coursework or training related to healthcare, public health, or project management.
Experience: The position requires two to five years of relevant experience, particularly in program or project management within healthcare or public health-related organizations.
