Duties and Responsibilities:
The Development Director's responsibilities include identifying and securing new individual donors, cultivating relationships with current donors, and managing a comprehensive cultivation tracking system. The role involves researching and vetting potential donors, conducting outreach, and stewarding both new and lapsed donors. The Development Director will also be responsible for implementing donor stewardship plans, collaborating with market teams to ensure effective communication and outreach, and developing strategies for volunteer engagement. Additionally, the position requires managing donor information accurately and ensuring compliance with established guidelines. Timely communication with internal and external partners is essential to support collaboration and achieve shared goals.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or a similar field. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for local travel. The role requires the ability to lift and move large objects, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred qualifications include a university or college degree, experience managing relationships with high-level leaders, and knowledge of corporate and community networks.
Educational Background:
While a university or college degree is preferred, equivalent experience in fundraising or sales may also be considered. The organization values practical experience and skills that align with the responsibilities of the Development Director role.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or a related field. Experience in managing donor relationships and cultivating high-level leaders is highly desirable, as is familiarity with corporate and community networks.

Employees are entitled to a minimum of 16 days of paid time off per year, increasing with seniority, and 12 paid holidays.
